Koi Angelfish
Koi Angelfish are a captivating variety of freshwater angelfish (Pterophyllum) named for their resemblance to the vibrant color patterns of koi fish. Their bodies typically display a striking mix of white, orange, black, and yellow, making each individual fish unique in appearance. Like other angelfish, they have a graceful, triangular shape with long, flowing fins.
Native to the slow-moving rivers of the Amazon Basin, Koi Angelfish prefer warm water between 75-82°F (24-28°C) and do well in a well-planted aquarium with plenty of space for swimming. They are generally peaceful but may show territorial behavior, especially during breeding.
Koi Angelfish thrive on a diet of high-quality flakes, pellets, and occasional live or frozen foods like brine shrimp. Their stunning colors and elegant movements make them a favorite among aquarium enthusiasts, and with proper care, they can live up to 10 years, adding beauty and vibrancy to any tank.
